Mason Celebrates Read Across America

Students at Mason recently celebrated Read Across America Day.  The day is celebrated annually on March 2, which is the birthday of beloved children's author, Dr. Seuss.  Throughout the school, teachers planned themed activities for students to enjoy and volunteers from the community came to read books to classes.  America Reads tutors planned a birthday party that select student representatives were able to attend with their parents.  Every student in the building also received a free book and bookmark as a part of the celebration.  It was a great day to celebrate reading!
